I met Ben Kalina when doing a consultation in Philadelphia. He’s asked me to help him a bit with an upcoming Kickstarter campaign, but I wanted to share info on his film now. Ben’s new film, Shored Up is shaping up to be a pretty timely look at beach erosion, given the recent events caused by Hurricane Irene. He was also a recent guest on Democracy Now, and that’s worth watching if you care about what’s happening on barrier islands due to beach erosion (which also affects the surf, you know, which people come for).
